Yesterday was Hat Day for Read Across America Spirit Week. Our staff got into the spirit with some fun hats.

Our Battle of the Books Team competed today in the last of three semi-final rounds for this year's Battle of the Books Competition in Stokes County. They competed against London Elementary and Walnut Cove Elementary. The battle was close, with only two points separating the first and second place teams. Our team did a great job representing Nancy Reynolds. Oh, and, we brought home BLUE RIBBONS!!!
We earned FIRST PLACE in today's battle and will represent Dragon Country again in the District Finals on March 12. We'll have the home court advantage as the finals battle will be held in the NRES auditorium.

It is National Pink Shirt Day!
National Pink Shirt Day is a vibrant, national movement for bullying prevention. It encourages everyone to wear pink shirts as a stand against bullying and brings people together, promoting kindness and inclusivity. This day is celebrated annually on the last Wednesday in February.

March 2-6 is Read Across America Week
Monday, March 2 is Cat in the Hat Day- Students may wear a hat.
Tuesday, March 3 is Books Knock your Socks Off- wear crazy socks
Wednesday, March 4 is Books Bring out the Wild Side- Wear animals or animal prints.
Thursday, March 5- Team up for Reading- Wear your favorite sports gear
Friday, March 5- Cozy up to a good book- Wear pajamas!
